Adorning mucky tattered clothes,

Depicting a wide smile,

They are those innocent children, who are indispensable part of our society.

They are poor; have to struggle hard each day to survive.

My heart really aches, by the sufferings faced by them.

“Aren’t they are part of society which should take care of them”?

“Are we shall be the silent observer and render false promises?”

No, we have to initiate a revolution to usher a radical change.

Not a single area in the vicinity is seen devoid of those innocent souls begging with little hands.

Those hands which were perhaps meant for myriad opportunities and creativities.

Dear society, let us come together and try to eradicate this demon like poverty,

So that we can hope for a new dawn, where all our children shall be seen bubbling with happiness and satisfaction.

We are those helpless people, who are being neglected,

Whenever an untoward situation strikes.

Are we not having the right to live a life freely?

We have already faced the extreme adversities,

Which had made us, very hard to earn our living.

Each day is a struggle for us,

As we are not normal, but having a deformity.

We are being subjected to those pity and hateful eyes.

We are being deprived of basic amenities, without which we can’t lead our lives peacefully.

We are all helpless, amidst this pandemic

But, we can only hope for some help from any quarter, which can provide us little relief.

We all can pray for a new dawn which can usher new horizons.

That day, is not far away when no one shall be neglected, deprived and seen with hateful eyes.
