Do You Know How Talented You Are?

Remember when we were in school, many a times our teachers used to make us write good and bad point about ourselves, in a sheet of paper? Based on my experience, I observed, most of us always had more bad points as compared to the good ones.

Why do we underestimate ourselves? We admire others for various things, but when it comes to ourselves, we feel we are not as talented as compared to the other. This is so not true.

God has given each one of us some or the other unique quality or talent, which we may not even be aware of (believe me as this is by personal experience). And you know what? We will come to know about this talent at some point in time when we most need it, that’s the mystery of life.

In the words of George Lucas —“Everybody has talent, it’s just a matter of moving around until you’ve discovered what it is.”

So, we just need to keep doing our best and, most importantly, know who we are. We need to love ourselves before we can truly love others. This also reciprocates. Only when we love ourselves, will others love us. Others see the good what we see in ourselves.

Think about this: if there is a person who always speaks low of itself, would you love spending time with the person?? After a certain point of time, you wouldn’t right? This is because when we are negative about ourselves, we create a negative aura around us which drives people away.

What we can do is, instead of hating ourselves for anything, we should try and work on it and improve it. And the good we see in ourselves, we need to cultivate it as that’s our strength.

God has chosen you and sent you to this world, isn’t this special in itself? God loves you, and so should you.
