Boys Don’t Cry If only they knew, boys have emotions too!!!

When we watch some emotional cinema, and at the end, if any of the boys are found crying, the first thing we hear people laugh about is ‘He is crying like a girl’. This is because we are not used to seeing a boy cry.

Based on research, boys are said to be emotionally weaker. A girl of the same age is more matured as compared to a boy. Then why do we have this stereotype? Does it even sound logical?

Being a girl, I get attracted to boys who cry, as it displays his emotional side. After all, will we want our partner to be emotionless?

Since the time a boy is a born, he is always made to believe that he is not supposed to cry. What I don’t understand is what the harm in crying is? Why can’t a boy express that he is hurt? It will only lighten his heart. We can only help a person we know is suffering. If we hide our emotions, the other person may not know, and it will instead harm our own self. These feelings pile up and our behaviour may change. This will drive people further away.

Someone has rightly said — Boys don’t cry but real men do...

Crying should not be seen as a sign of weakness, instead it’s a sign of strength. It is the body’s mechanism to cope with pain.

Based on research, in addition to being self-soothing, shedding emotional tears releases certain hormones in the human body which makes people feel good and may also ease both physical and emotional pain. In this way, crying can help reduce pain and promote a sense of well-being.

So, be a Man and don’t be ashamed to display your emotions. Laugh when you are happy, cry when you are sad. Isn’t this what babies do? And babies are believed to be a version of God. So never kill the baby within you.

Be like a child, but not childish.
