Epilogue

Godge sat sullenly in his time prison–a bubble floating in the air above the ocean of time. It was probably the most boring thing to do.

He didn’t even have cellmates to talk to, nor could he carve down the days that passed by on the walls of the bubble, which was a trend in most prisons. If he accidentally punctured the ball, he would be sent flying to a random point in time. And anyway, it isn’t possible to count days in a time prison.

All-day (though there are no days in a time prison), Godge sat huddled up in his prison, staring outside at the ocean of time: a greyish blue sea of crashing waves. He wasn’t even sure if it was a greyish-blue: he couldn’t even make himself look that hard at it.

One day, he was simply spending his day like this, staring at the ocean lazily.

Suddenly, a small crack appeared at the corner of his prison. He looked down in surprise to see it expanding slowly.

He crept away from it in panic. If the prison broke, it would be disastrous!

The crack expanded and expanded, suddenly, covering up the whole prison.

Before he knew it, the prison shattered, and Godge was falling down a black tunnel into an unknown time period. He was too shocked to even scream. Petrified, he shot down the tunnel like a jet.

Suddenly, he found himself falling from the sky, waving his hands frantically to stop falling. He neared the ground and shut his eyes in panic. He crashed into a tree, which broke his fall, and he was stuck in its branches.

He hesitantly clambered down the tree onto the grassy ground. He could feel the magic. He suspected he was still in Mrindawa.

He looked around. He could see lush green forest all around him. But that wasn’t all. He saw Snowdrop the dragon lying on the ground dazed, with a lot of other creatures. When the time prison had been destroyed, the whole blanket of time must have been ruptured, taking all sorts of creatures from 1500 BCE to this time.

When Snowdrop saw him, she grunted to see her old enemy. She stood up and started to chase him. Godge ran for his life.

The grass was strange under his feet.

It was of a different era.
