When the joy

You misplaced

Comes back

And taps you

On the shoulder –

Don’t shun it and

Ask where its been.

Don’t deny its

Re-entry out of spite.

Let it slide

Back into you

With the grace

Of water over

Mossy rocks and say:

Welcome home.
