Tie me to the strength

Of your steady hand.

I have set out, you see

Into the choppy water of uncertainty –

The kind that makes my heart beat

In fear and elation, simultaneously.

Carry me, sing over me

Pull me into the safety

Of your mighty arms.

I left my anchor on the shore

Of predictability,

The shore that allows me

To see how this all ends,

Weathered and weary

With all of this music

Left inside of me.

Into the bays of my mind

And the caverns of my soul.

We will write stories to the sky,
