How did you determine which recipes to include in the book?

I have hand-picked the recipes for my book. They are all healthy and delicious. These are the traditional recipes of Assam.

What goes into making a cookbook interesting?

A cookbook can be made interesting by presenting a collection of some very unique recipes. Here I have shared recipes made with millet.

How easy or difficult was it to pen down your recipe handbook?

Not everyone would have the same opinion. But I feel that it is quite simple to write if you are fully focused. It does take some effort though but all worth it when you see your book published!

Which recipe from the book is your favorite?

All the recipes in the book are the ones I relish. But my favourite out of them is the atta besan samosa filling with brinjal fry. It is very healthy, as there is no maida and no potato.

Was there anything you had to research for this book?

Yes, of course. Actually quite a lot. I have researched how to write a content recipe. It did take a while, though.

Do you have any mentors as food writers?

No, I don’t have a mentor. I research myself and create recipes. Actually, no one can make you a food writer. You have to become one.

Do you think the book will be appealing to your foodie readers?

Yes, certainly. The book will be very appealing to our foodie readers. Since the recipes are all new and different, they will love them.
